The Hessling Editor (THE) is a cross-platform text editor. Based on the IBM mainframe editor XEDIT, and includes many features of Kedit. All of THE is configurable, including syntax highlighting. THE uses Rexx as its macro language.
Same reasons. I used Xedit for years and am familiar with this territory in THE. Now I write .the macros all the time.
The product is great for us mainframe users who have use Xedit for many years. I don't understand the guy that gave it a 'thumbs down' because it was stated that it is "OS Independent". This is delivered in source. How much more "OS Independent" can you get???
