Wipro Bluetooth HCI USB Transport Layer on Linux Version 1.0.0 -------------------------------------------------------------- Introduction: ------------ Bluetooth has become a very important short distance wireless communication technology. This driver exports the open, close, read, write, ioctl interfaces to the user lever programs, there by allowing the user to develop their Bluetooth stack as a user application. Using this driver one can write their own bluetooth protocol stack for any Bluetooth USB host controller. This driver along with the Wipro Bluetooth stack forms a complete Bluetooth solution over which applications can be developed. For more information regarding the Wipro Bluetooth stack visit the wipro Bluetooth homepage at http://bluetooth.wipro.com Environment: ----------- - OS: Linux (Redhat 7.0) - Kernel Version: 2.4.6 Driver Features: --------------- - USB version 1.1 - The driver is registered as a character device in the Linux Kernel.(Tested only on Redhat Linux 7.0) - The driver is designed for Bluetooth Support and tested with Ericsson Bluetooth Development Kit (EBDK). - Supports Interrupt, Bulk and Control Transfers. - The SCO transfer have also been implemented but have not been tested. - Exports file operation like open, close, read, write and ioctl for user mode applications. - The driver has been designed to support 16 devices but has been tested with 2 devices. - OHCI and UHCI support. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.
