I have just compiled Hatari 0.45 on a Zaurus SL-C760 (400 MHz Intel XScale PXA255 with 640x480 16 bit color TFT screen). The configure and makefile scripts did a perfect job!! Games like Xenon II, Speedball, Wings of Death, Super Wonderboy and IK+ are running. Most games can not be played with sound and full screen because the performance of the Zaurus is not sufficient (there are exceptions like for example Ice Palace). Hatari especially needs a lot of performance when playing sampled music (e.g. mods or Quarter music). Demos (like Union demo, Cuddly demos) are running but too slow.
The monochrome screen looks great on the Zaurus. I was able to run Word Plus from a 'GEMDOS' hard disk (flash memory) without a problem.
The only problems I encountered were keyboard and mouse related.
Keys like F12 and right control are missing on the Zaurus keyboard. This problem could be solved by remapping some of the Zaurus keys (xmodmap).
The mouse problem is that there is a difference between the actual Atari mouse position and the real mouse position (it's a touch screen). For example I click on (x,y) and the Atari mouse click on (x+10, y+10) or (x-5, y-25). The difference between the actual Atari mouse position and the real mouse position defers each time I start Hatari. Sometimes it is okay! Moving & clicking in the F12 menu is not a problem. Any idea where I should look to solve this problem?
As a work around I am now using Alternate with arrow keys and Insert (TOS 2.06) to use the Atari mouse.
