GroundWork Foundation may now be downloaded at its own project page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gwfoundation As a convenience, you can now download them in a bundle from the Status Viewer page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gwsv Foundation is a flexible data aggregation system with an XML-based protocol, a listener, and a feeder system. Perl, PHP, and Java API's exist for both extending the listener and creating new feeders.
GroundWork has released the first version of Status Viewer (SV), a new PHP-based interface for Nagios. SV lets you drill down into your network to view nested Hostgroups, Hosts, and Services. It features a tab-based UI with a network-wide view, event view, trouble view, and a "filter" view, which lets users view only the data that meets specific user-supplied criteria. SV requires GroundWork Foundation, a flexible, Java-based data toolkit and set of API's. So far, it features Java, PHP, and Perl API's. Foundation is also available from the SV download page. SV makes nagios easier to use than ever. Together with GroundWork Monitor Architect, a Nagios configuration tool, GroundWork has made a real contribution to Nagios users, with much more on the way.
