    My first guess would be an incompatible ffmpeg. Transcode links statically to ffmpeg, and there was a change in the api recently that makes programs using the wrong version segfault. Either try with my own build of ffmpeg, or get another transcode (or build one yourself). It's not a gv4l problem anyway.
