enable the Mpeg Splitter and the Mpeg-1 Decoder in the filter options page.... should work then

still didnt work. mpc just won't render the stream. in case you wanna analyze the mp3:

Strange MPC seems to have a problem with the file... i got the same error as you...

when you open the file in a hexeditor you can see a block started by ID3 directly followed by another one ID3 block (strange is that even allowed to have 2 .... whatever that's the cause of the problem). then there is that huge gap of just zeros... then something with info follows...
after deleting that huge gap down two just 30 zeros or so the file plays in mpc too.

i dunno about the specs for mp3 files but since other software plays the file mpc is either too strict on it or just bugged...

(btw at first i deleted all id3 tags and recreated them which at the same time must have got rid of the gap. maybe that's easier to fix it than using a hexeditor (either way make a backup :P))

haha I can't believe you actually had the patience! anyway nice job checking the id3 tag I didn't even think of it

kudos and thanks. hope this will help the devs
