  Version 1.2.0 of Guitar Scale Assistant has been released. Guitar Scale Assistant is a free open source java based guitar scale application available under the GNU General Public Liscense (GPL). The primary purpose of this application is to provide assistance to guitarists of all levels for quickly finding, displaying, and playing scales/modes from chords, note sequences, or name searches. Load preset tunings from menu or create and save new tunings. 2. Display subsets of scales through pattern and position filtering, including 3 note per string and box pattern displays. 3. Allow the user to select the number of allowable "off" notes when searching by notes. Enhancements ---------------------------------------- 1. Scale Names in search list and View Scale menus are sorted by name. 2. Increased sweep on tempo control. 3. Over 200 new scales added. Bug Fixes ---------------------------------------- 1. Removed case sensitivity on searches by name. 2. Saving a scale in alternate tuning does not reset the fretboard to standard tuning.
