  • Very usefull
  • 3 stars because it was a neat little tool. On win11 it's broken though. It cannot process the degree character °. This character is not present in any of my GPX files, but GPXEditor will insert broken characters instead, making it impossible to edit a file or create a route. Example: 0.000000 N, 0.000000 E
  • i think it s a very useful tool! But i it work only for smal projects! i only get "memorie insuffisante" if i add all my GPS Tracks. so but, pefect tool, but not working :-(

It is not tailored to be a GPX repository, sorry.
  • Since 1) the GpsPassion site is gone, 2) this page doesn't allow posting tickets, and 3) the author does not provide an email… does someone know if the UI language can be changed without touching Windows' settings? Thank you.

you can use GnuGetText to add/modify translations
  • It's a great light tool, but may be possible to add a preview where a (track) point is on map, selecting it? I'd try to contact the author, but in it's blog there isn't contact details neither comment box. Thanks
  • First time use. Opened gpx in user app. Displayed correctly. Opened gpx in GPX Editor 1.7.15. Saved with no edits. User app would not open gpx. Indicated file error.
  • - "There is no way to contact the author" As the gpspassion website is gone the link to the gpx editor forum and all the previously contributions is so definitely lost ? A very pity. Maybe Pixel_K hopefully still does read these msg's here ? So that the previously excellent friendly communication channel can be restored by any other alternative gpx editor forum. ***A bug report about the url's in the gpx export & should be exported as &amp; For example. (Can not publish links here) The export by bikerouter.de (a web planner) are exporting valid gpx. (Tested by Notepad++ with the xml plug in (validator) Open this exported gpx file into the gpx editor and than export Reimporting this file does fail because the exported gpx file by the gpx edtitor is corrupt. I just now found the version 1.0.8. What has been changed in 1.0.8 ? Bugs found into the previous version. -The web link problem is most problematic because export is corrupt and broken. Bugs found in the gpx editor program. 1. Conform mail adress. (Non valid) (corrupt) Bug: The gpx editor export is false as: <email> <id>temporary</id> <domain>scarlet.be</domain> </email> Correct: <email id="temporary" domain="scarlet.be"/> 2. Conform gpx web url export. (Non valid) (corrupt) Bug: The gpx editor exports as &. Correct: The & in a url in the gpx file should be exported as &amp; 3. Gpx multiple links. (Annoying) Bug. The gpx editor does not support multiple consecutive links. Deletes consecutive links present on import at the export. Correct. Multiple consecutive links are allowed. Example. <trk> <name>BOM</name> <cmt>Berlaarse Oldtimer Motorvrienden</cmt> <link href="./Files/Oldtimerbeurs.jpg"> <text>Beurs</text> </link> <link href="./Files/Veteranentour cancelled.jpg"> <text>Veteranen</text> </link> <trkseg> ........ 4. Does not "handle" the figure 0 (zero). (Annoying) Example: In elevation = 0 (zero) meter. <wpt lat="51.039991042608300" lon="2.587496397523470"> <ele>0.0</ele> <name>De Moeren Altitude 0 meter</name> <sym>Flag, Blue</sym> </wpt>

Hello, What export format would need this fix ?
  • -When you select a point of a route in the map, it is displayed in the status bar as 0, 1, 2, 3... , but in the list of points it is numerated as 1, 2, 3, 4.... I think this inconsistency is a bug. At least it is confusing. -It would be nice being able to edit the position of a route by moving it in the map. -There is no way to contact the author (link to gpspassion.com does not work)
  • I just want to adjust some simple GPS data points...this did not help me whatsoever. I'm a software/product developer and this makes no sense to me. It does not provide features advertised and I do not understand the UX/UI at all.
  • Ich finde das Programm ganz gut, daher 5 Sterne von mir. Trotzdem möchte ich wissen, ob man den Track bearbeiten kann, also konkret den Track verkleinern, damit er weniger KB hat. Danke
  • I started using this editor in 2012. Great tool. Easy to use lots of great features. Thanks for keeping it going all of these years.
  • Does not edit gpx file as name suggests. For instance. Exporting one route is not possible (easily). Deleting more than 1 route at a time not possible.
  • The application is great. Works fast, I can finally watch all my bike routes at the same time. I propose to introduce the possibility of a full screen OSM map view
  • I don't 'get' this application. What I want is to remove unusable track points, because of not stopping recording, or because of lingering at a location. - I can load a GPX file, I can display it on OpenStreetmap, but then NO points are displayed, I can select points (guessing where they are), but I CAN'T edit them. - I can open the point list and count remove some trailing records. But just by counting backward, there is NO correlation with any map. And even selecting isn't convenient. - I just discovered that the example view does show points when zooming in, but then there is NO map. Why?! And even more ridiculous, I CAN'T select any point and delete it! - Finally I get a Dutch language interface (apparently by regional format) on an English language machine, but dialogs are in FRENCH.

  • V1.7: not user-friendly, not intuitive at all. To avoid

  • Avast marked last vesrsion 1.7.12.1731 as IDP.generic.
  • The software I like best are user friendly at once. I hate to search for explanations on what I do wrong to make functions working. After downloading a gpx file and adding a Googlemap I tried for 10 minutes to use some buttons to select a track and cut it in sections, to which no reaction came. Garmin Basecamp might be a nightmare to use, but at least it works. I encourage the author to improve the product to a level that is user friendly right away at first use. Sorry , I don't like this editor for now.

  • Perfect for what I want, which is to do minor edits to tracks, usually to trim off the bit in the car after a bike ride when I forgot to stop recording!
  • I've been using Ver 1.3 for a few years. It is not buggy for what I use, but has some inconvenient things I'd like to see fixed. This 1.6 version does not work correctly--it does not remove elevation from a track in a file that contains multiple tracks. I have not tried it using a file with a single track. Ver 1.3 required me to check the box for Preserve KML NameSpace every time I started GPX Editor. IMHO it should be checked as default. Why would anyone want to NOT preserve it? The other thing in 1.3 I'd like to see fixed---when you open a file with multiple tracks and you remove elevation (and perhaps other items), click Apply then OK. That track is done. I click the next track, click the segment, go to remove the elevation--but the box is disabled. I must save the file, exit GPS Editor and then repeat all the steps again until I have edited all the segments. Other than that--it works for me
  • I used an older version a couple of years ago. A bit buggy but did the job, however just tried loading it to my new Win10 PC and Norton Internet Security decided the executable was dangerous and deleted it. Any relevant info/experience anyone?
  • It's almost perfect, but since I would like to use it as a GPX file CREATOR it's just not really there yet. I'm only able to manipulate already existing GPX files. If I want to create a file from scratch I have to use Notepad. Please make it possible to start from scratch.
  • Great, simple and fast editor.
  • Version 1.6 fixes issue with Google map, or any other map, not displaying when selecting the Google Maps tab. Made the application almost unusable. Found that disabling video drivers got it to work. With the 1.6 version, I can use with normal drivers. Glad to see update and now can rate it as 5 stars again! Thanks!
  • Works as intended. Thanks for developing this tool. Please let me know if you have a flattr account.
