Notifier for multiple Gmail and Google Apps email accounts. Offers various notification options (unread mails in Inbox only, All Mails, or with specified labels) and alert methods (popup message, chime, blink keyboard LED). Uses IMAP over SSL.
Excellent work so far, works smoothly, does what it promises and satisfies a need. Improvement ideas: - Ability to jump from GmailAssistant to the accounts in a web browser, even when there is no new mail.
Nice simple and works with Google Apps! One nice feature would be to click to open the account in web browser.
Now with IMAP IDLE support, ability to minimize on startup, automatic update check, automatic suppression of the password prompt when loading profiles without passwords, and code optimizations. GmailAssistant homepage: http://gmailassistant.sourceforge.net/

I've started the wiki to collate support-related questions and answers. Please feel free to contribute!
Now supports both Gmail and Google Apps email accounts. Other new features: SOCKS proxy support, save/load program and account settings in encrypted profile files, automatic profile loading, adjustable mail check frequency, persistent and navigable popup messages, and more!
