DownloadGLE is a graphics scripting language designed for creating publication quality graphs, plots, diagrams, figures, and slides. Text can be formatted with LaTeX/TeX markup. Its output formats include EPS, PS, PDF, JPEG, and PNG. GLE can operate as either a command line or GUI application.

This is my all time favourite graphics tool. Easy to use, can do almost anything and results are publication quality. I have used GLE to make figures for several articles, created figures for lecture etc. notes, and for web pages.
