  I've used Gimp.app for many years now and worked fine all the time. It does the job you expect, it's easy to use and comes in a nice .app that is welcome all Mac users.

  All X11 GIMP releases are inferior to this one. But there are still many issues with GIMP.app.

  I was delighted to find this, just when I needed it and after half an hour of frustration with the X11 GIMP. Good luck with this: it still looks like a unix tool, and some funny things happen at times, but I'll put up with that if I don't have to use X11 again!
