  I've used Gimp.app for many years now and worked fine all the time. It does the job you expect, it's easy to use and comes in a nice .app that is welcome all Mac users.

  All X11 GIMP releases are inferior to this one. But there are still many issues with GIMP.app.

  Only supports latest OS/X version, which is a HUGE DISADVANTAGE, it disqualifies it as 'free' software, as it's obviously Apple sponsored somehow to not even support 10.4 and before from before 2008, that's like software only working for VISTA servicepack4.
