ggmud on linux questions

I downloaded ggmud 0.9.0 since I wanted the #grep fuctionality (very nice addition). It seems to eat plain return chars, ie start ggmud press return, it does not provide the error that you need to #session like 0.8.0, and I looked for several hours to try and figure where it goes, but my debugging skills are lacking it seems. Even when I do start a session to the mud, when I need to just press return, nothing, I have to insert some other char first. I also wonder, is the up arrow the correct way to go through the history? It works once or twice, then seems to get replaced by a blank line. Would it be possible to modify the input so that ctrl-e moves to end of line, ctrl-a the beginning of line, ctrl-u to clear the whole thing, and ctrl-k to clear to end of line? My guess is to modify the snoop_keys for those? Is making ctrl-r search through the history more difficult? I have been spoiled by tt++ 1.98 but I love the multiple windows support for ggmud so I can actually see things during a large fight.
