    In a follow up to this message, this is a rights issue within the SQL2000 server for user name "gfireport" I don't currently know what / where / why, the user is created and is given db_datareader access .... but pah .. no idea.

    If I change appconfig.asp config and give it the "gfiservice" logon credentials then it works fine.


    I'll have to go get an SQL manual out now and have a read.
