Description

GemRB (Game engine made with pre-Rendered Background) is a portable open-source implementation of Bioware's Infinity Engine.

It was written to support pseudo-3D role playing games based on the Dungeons & Dragons ruleset (Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series, Planescape: Torment). It should run on GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, possibly other UNIX derivatives and more. It is licensed under the GPL.

this project is cool without question! Keep up the work on it! Thus, there still needs some work to be done. My experiences so far (v0.6.5). The downloaded Demo of BG works remarkabley well. So I tried to install my files from IWD and IWD2. But, to no avail. Starting the program will show of the Programmbackground and after 2 Seconds fell back to the desktop. I'm using the android port on a Samsung Galaxy Tab (where the demo works great). I tried to use the structure you already used for the demo, copying all the IWD files to that same directory. This leaves me in a situation, where I just had to check CD2 path in the config file, but since it was defaulted there as .\CD2, it was already fine. I changed the Id int he config to IWD2 then, and thats it. In both cases it did not work, always fell back to desktop. If there is anything else to check, please let me know. Otherwise I really hope, that you struggle on with the project. It is woth it and you did fine so far!. One final suggestion, please allow easy switching of the Packages instead letting the user fumble with the gemrb.cfg :).
