Geeqie is a lightweight image viewer. It was forked from GQview. The development is focused on features for photo collection maintenance: raw format, Exif/IPTC/XMP metadata and integration with programs like UFraw, ImageMagick, Gimp, gPhoto or ExifTool.
really good lite picture viewer
Fast!!!
I'm KDE user and like KDE applications' integration features... But nothing can compare with geeqie (gqview), I just cannot use any other image viewer. I am very glad that the project is alive and well.
Was always the fastest, easiest to use image tool; nice to see it being supported again with many more advanced features.
This is just the kind of viewer Iwas looking for. Minimal deps for those who don't use Gnome or KDE.
its the best imageviewer ever
I thought my beloved GQview was dead! If only I were still running FreeBSD... Must find someone willing to port to Windows.
See my comments on http://cantankerousandcrotchety.blogspot.com/ Great software I hope development continues
The best image viewer that let manage files and fast view thumbnails and galleries. I use daily to maintain my albums http://ubuntumexico.com
I love that GQView was fast, easy to use and feature-ful (I especially like the find duplicates feature). Now we have an actively-developed clone. Long live GQView!
best imgage editor/organizer/viewer around :)
Clean interface, flexible configuration, keyboard-shortcuts for almost everything, very useful features (Multiple-Rename, Color-Profiles, Metadata Handling, and more).
