Both easy to use and a great feature set. Is there a possibility of licensing under LGPL so that it can be used as a library on larger projects that are not GPL compatible?

I have been using gdspy to write GDSII files for a few weeks now. I had written my own GDSII writing library before in C#, but I feel that scripting my projects in Python is more natural and concise. It took me just a few hours to finish my first project after downloading this product.

This is a very useful product and very easy to use. I beat a deadline for designing a special semiconductor test chip by learning and using this great tool in half a week!
