GAmp is a open source audio and video player designed to be small and unintrusive. It sports features other media players never use such as opacity and a audiobook "save place on close" setting. Since it uses WMP as an engine, it is very stable.

GAmp media player 2.0 has been released today, making great strides from the previous version of GAmp. GAmp 2.0 takes your average audio and movie playing experience and takes it to the next level with some awesome feature set no other media player provides. GAmp 2.0 allows you to create multiple play lists (such as 'Music', 'Audio books', 'Movies', etc) and save the current track and play time of each of them, so that you can switch between them and never lose your place. Furthermore, each play list can be searched and sorted in various ways, such as by file name, file extension, file path, and the typical tagging attributes. Of course, GAmp also provides all the typical media player features, such as playing movie and audio files, editing tags, etc. For more information on GAmp's feature set, see the GAmp user documentation in the downloads section. One last thing, after investing so much time into GAmp 2.0 I've decided to start accepting donations, so if any of you find this product to be useful, please donate (even if it's only a buck) to show you care. You can find all the GAmp download links here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=171973&package_id=196625&release_id=513075 The project summary can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gampmediaplayer/
