• GAmp 2.0 Released

  GAmp media player 2.0 has been released today, making great strides from the previous version of GAmp. GAmp 2.0 takes your average audio and movie playing experience and takes it to the next level with some awesome feature set no other media player provides. GAmp 2.0 allows you to create multiple play lists (such as 'Music', 'Audio books', 'Movies', etc) and save the current track and play time of each of them, so that you can switch between them and never lose your place. Furthermore, each play list can be searched and sorted in various ways, such as by file name, file extension, file path, and the typical tagging attributes. Of course, GAmp also provides all the typical media player features, such as playing movie and audio files, editing tags, etc. For more information on GAmp's feature set, see the GAmp user documentation in the downloads section.   New Features: * Made random much more random. * Added multiple playlists. Each has its own state so if you switch between playlists the file and play time are saved. * Redesigned skinning to be simpler to setup. * Redesigned options to be seperate from the playlist. * Improved some of the API functionality. * Added more video menu options. * Added Drag and drop to playlist. * Added a buffer option for internet radio buffer. * ID3v2.3 support added thanks to UltraIDLib. * Added support for WMV in addition to WMA. * Created a default GAmp skin. * A redesigned backend in order to make scripting and leveraging easier. * Fully documented backend API functionality. * Improved, albiet, limited documentation of the frontend. * Added simple "Border" around GAmp. * Added more command line arguements (see -? for details). * Updated memory management (as much as can be done in a .net application) Fixes: * Fixed API/Scripting bugs involving video control. * Fixed Problems with Mouse disappear when it shouldn't and not remaining hidden when it should. * Fixed a couple of corner case crashes. * Fixed the "save playlist on close" option. Made playlists run only in memory by default. * Fixed some WMA/WMV reading errors. * Fixed some file handle issues involving WMA tags. * Correct issues where backend/frontend were coupled too tightly. * Lots of other minor fixes.
