Installing 2.5.5 on Mac OS X, Server stops

    I just installed version 2.5.5 on OS X 10.5.8. Installation went smooth but I then start the server and it starts and stops again. The Dock icon just disapears. I then try the Config but it also complains that it does not find the server.
    I can not find any information on this issue. Please help. I have JRE version 1.5.0_19.
