G4L is a hard disk and partition imaging and cloning tool. The created images are optionally compressed and transferred to an FTP server or cloned locally. Version 0.30 adds cifs (Windows) on local menu, and mbr and ebr backup.
Bering the current maintainer and an user of the program myself. I find the program to be very useful. Original started as an user, and it did the job I needed, but saw ways to expand on the 0.14 version. Have added lots of features of my own ideals, and suggestions from other users, and some actual code sections.
Great program! I use more than 10 different hardwares. I works with raid and some onboard cheap raids too.
good program
Excelente software
I use it now for years for installing multiple PCs. Works perfect!

I use this program all the time. I love it!! It has yet to fail me.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Great program for ghosting linux boxes.
worked great to backup a ubuntu 9.04 on a windows share on network
very useful program - good alternative to propriety software
Simply the best way to upgrade a hard drive to a bigger one. I tried other commercial, shareware and freeware ones. None of them could achieve the results of G4L.
wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
Awesome
I've used it to backup my Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit laptop and it works flawlessly during backup and restore. Can it be used to backup a MAC drive?
I used G4L to clone a Fedora 11 USB stick install. This is the only program I have found that works perfectly to clone a Linux USB stick.
