FX Player is a Web-based streaming server with a Flash iTunes-like interface. It shares your MP3 library and allow access to your tracks through the Internet. Coded in Java, FX Player run on most platforms, including Mac OS X, Windows, Linux and Unix.
Great project. Nothing else like it with the great flash interface. Very easy to install and even had a ppc-linux-64 version. Great job and keep up the good work. For software in beta stage, you can't get much better. Only improvement I see is easier to read fonts(too small/blurry), other than that good design.
This is indeed a great prog. I use it quite some time. There are some things which are not so nice, but for a beta software this is in a really good state. Svenol is also always fast to fix newly filed bugs. If you are looking for a way to listen to your MP3 without installing a bunch of software, then this is what you are looking for!
This was easy to setup and get running on Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04). It serves my mp3s well and looks nice. I haven't found the Air app to be quite stable yet, but hey, it's beta, right? Props to svenol for a really nice app! Next up, I'd like it to be able to read m4a files... not the protected content ones, but the regular ones. Awesome job, keep up the great work!
