-- Prerequiste Platform software to support demos -- -- Install Mail Client containing the "B2BPO" Gateway __ -- Run Demo using b2bpo.com as the ASP or PostOffice Server Implementation -- =============== Platform software =============== The newer version of the demo that im in Q/A with, is for Jonathon and requires that he install Sun Java Jdk 1.4.2 from Sun's Java site and that he install "Ant 1.6.2" from the Jakarta site. These 2installs will get his local Environment to a platform level that supports the client software for general B2BPO demos and that supports the Mail Client software used for the Mail Gateway process portion of the demo. ToDo's are below: - install "J2SE v 1.4.2_06 JRE " a download link for it can be found among the options below: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html - install Ant from the link for the "zip archive" found at "http://ant.apache.org/" =============== Mail Client =============== download the zip at _________________ see the "docs" dir of the zip file for instructions on install/ setup open the "readme" file =============== Run Demo =============== The demo will run against the production B2BPO site and will require about 40 minutes to do everything. It simulates an immediate "Supply chain " between China and Indonesia where the people that Jonathon has in the phone conference who are physically located in Jakarta will see, in real time, "Google Search Data" passing between countries, over the internet on a secure PUB/ SuB supply chain connection that didnt exist 5 minutes earlier. Google search data that is generated by their partners in China shows up on desktops in Jakarta. Over the Web it takes no more than 2 minutes to have them set it up and to watch it run. Or, As i did at Commerce Net, everthing in the Demo can be controlled directly by Jonathon. He can use multiple windows on his machine to simulate all the nodes involved in the supply-chain process and then use "Web_EX" to show any people not directly attending the presentation. A video of the last version of a presentation that accesses the site and that uses the Google Search as notion of "new and shareable business data" is at: http://b2bpo.com/demo/summary.zip Unzipping reveals an AVI file that may or may not play on your player?? This requires XP and RealAudio or RealOne player to get all the codecs required for the generic .AVI filetype to play correctly. Don't spin your wheels if if wont play because there's lots of other options. If you can play it and want to see other aspects of the demos then click the yellow color " ? " in the Table below the caption "Demo Instructions" that you find at this link: http://b2bpo.com/demo/#DMO More background on demo: http://b2bpo.com/demo/help.html#PUB <-- see "publish a search" http://b2bpo.com/samples/images/mgate_alln1.jpg<-- Mail gateway diagram http://b2bpo.com/samples/track4.html<-- Description of Mail Integration portion of Demo
