FreeXer breaks Cygwin

    I have (or rather had) a fine Cygwin installation before I used FreeXer. After removing FreeXer I realized that it had completely overwritten by Cygwin settings! I looked in the registry and moved my mount points back to where they should be, but X still doesn't work under Cygwin. When I try to start X I get messages that no font can be found. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? And moreover, shouldn't we have been warned?
