Nice template engine. Haven't had problems since I use it.

I haven't got started yet but it LOOKS great:) Btw it says on this page app_faq.html#faq_jsp_vs_freemarker that freemarker "syntax doesn't follow the HTML/XML" - the same may be said for JSP surely? PHP does not follow the rules either.
