HI,
you CAN definitly use MAK to clone. In order to avoid the discussed "counter"-problem, use VAMT (Volume Activation Management Tool) . This little tool makes it possible to save all activations of single machines in one file to reactivate them after cloning.
Important: Don't activate the pcs before cloning. All the problems with MAK are gone using VAMT ......

Anyone else having the client service slowing computers down? We have deployed it out to a handful of classrooms in the district and several teachers are saying their computers are running much slower. A few of them have even prevented our student management program from opening up. Fog service seems to be the culprit, but I cant figure out exactly why.

My apologies! The following correction is needed on line 99:
$sql = "SELECT * FROM groupMembers JOIN groups ON groupMembers.gmGroupID=groups.groupID WHERE groupMembers.gmHostID=$hostID ORDER BY groupMembers.gmID ASC LIMIT 1";
Also, I forgot to mention that this is a drop-in replacement for the existing greenfog.php because if no MAC is sent in the request, it falls back to the old behavior of...

I also like this. if I could pxyboot, choose quick image, select image a or b..., and click force NOW.
then the server collects the mac address - ip address and goes for it.

By default we turn off kernel module support in the kernel. This makes the kernel a bit more modular, and give us the ability to use a single boot image (fs) and multiple kernels. The recommended way to add the driver would be to recompile the kernel, which sounds much more complicated then it really is. The directions are posted here...

Are you using ext3 or ext4, we currently don't support ext4 (yet). If you use ext3, you should be OK.

Hi there everyone,
I am not sure if this is the correct place to be asking this question but i am going to shoot anyway.
We use fog extensively in our environment. We run Ubuntu 9.10 and Fog .28. It works perfectly except on one type of machine. The machines we are having a problem with is a gigabyte 945pl-s3 with a Realtek 8111B Gigabit Ethernet controller.
When i switch the machine...
