  • Followup: RE: dump EEPROM

I need the dump bin file to get LOGIN CODE from it to be able to perform a key-matching procedure. Immobilizer in my Golf IV is integrated with the dashboard so I dont think I can unsolder the eeprom. There are a few programs on the net that read the memory dumps and extract pin codes. Is there software that can dump the contents of the eeprom via a VAG COM CAN OBDII cable? Or would it be...

  • Followup: RE: dump EEPROM

In theory, yes. In practice, you'd require * removal of the EEPROM from the car * careful handling to avoid static shock * [93C86](http://www.futurlec.com/Memory/93C86.shtml) reader * by design, a reader entails * protoboard physical layer * passive wiring * computer parallel port (IEEE-1284) * computer serial port (RS-232) * relatively simple (~200 NCSL...

  • Followup: RE: Trouble with Jeff's OBII Interface device

You might try the code in CVS, it is much more recent than v0.3 currently in the downloadable packages.

  • Followup: RE: Trouble with Jeff's OBII Interface device

Look at the site [http://www.obddiagnostics.com/][1]. I have been using their unit for a number of years now and it seems pretty solid. They have the [pdf for the schematic][2] on for their unit on the site as well as all the [programming information][3] needed to access the unit and pull codes. All the reference information is free. Not sure all the details of Jeff's project but you might...

  • Trouble with Jeff's OBII Interface device

Hello everyone, So I have currently been trying to get Jeff's OBDII interface ( http://www.planetfall.com/cms/content/opendiag-obd-ii-schematics-pcb-layout ) to work with freediag. I have the design all set up currently on a bread board but I having some trouble. I think the circuit seems to be working correctly but I still get negative results when I go to do a scan. Has anyone else used...
