I have test mysql with "mysql-connector-java-5.0.5-bin.jar", "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" and the test is ok.
My jar was in "[javaHome]/lib/ext".

this tool helps yourself to produce simple report
quickly. With three operations you can have
the result: 1) you open the connection toward the database
(through jdbc - odbc), 2) it loads the columns
3)run the report.
FreeReportBuilder also manages groupings
of columns, it produces small graphs.
