This is an algorithm to codify Spanish words to an equivalent phonetic code. That intends to be a substitute of Soundex algorithm that is not practical to use in Spanish. It is very useful for search engines based on text information.

Fonetiko release the first version
Fonetiko release the first alpha version of the spanish phonetic algorithm. For the time being is available just for php, python, c# and java. In the future it will be improved and extended to others programing languajes. Enjoy it!!!
