Free Open FTP Face is a graphical (GTK+) FTP client written in Python. Its emphasis is on simplicity and convenience. It is multiplatform, easy to use, has a built in text viewer, image viewer, audio player, checksums, and one-click (de)compression.

There are some features missing like a keep-alive to the server. But foff is lightning fast and replaced filezilla on my system.

FOFF Makes Magazine
I'm proud to announce that FOFF has the better of a full page in the September 2006 issue of the UK Linux magazine "Linux Format" (linuxformat.co.uk). On page 38, editor Mike Sanders starts off this month's "Hot Picks" with FOFF. This is a great personal achievement of mine and also for the project. Thank you all FOFF users out there for your feedback, helping me make what will be a great FTP client. -Jeffrey Bakker P.S. FOFF is not dead! Development has been temporarily stopped due to a hard drive failure (which sets FOFF back for DND support among other things), and new job, and me trying to enjoy what's left of my summer.
