You are correct, sir. I fixed this by running erall at the commander, opening the editor and saving the now blank editor to the workspace. Now when I open LOGO and use any FILE command I get a clean editor.

I did try to reinstall earlier and ended up with the same problem. Is it possible that this 'grab bag' (which I saved to notepad for future reference) of code was in the workspace when the executable was created?
