Also, another feature I miss, was how v1.2 hid the connect/disconnect button when all the options needed were specified in FlashVars. More specifically, my users are stupid, I don't want to give them extra buttons to click if I can help it.
Maybe have a FlashVar that can be set to hide settings button options.
Also, if I'm forcing 'view only', I would like to have the any buttons that were...

Well, it does prompt me for a password now, and it does let me log in, which so far is awesome.
I havn't experienced the lock up problem that pollard mentioned.
but does the flash app still respect the FlashVar option for password? has the name of the FlashVar for the vnc password changed or something else?
Also, I do love how it does say at the bottom left that the viewer is connected...

I dont think thats it the new 2.0.1 complies fine, and i have all the adobe 10 files for flex.

2.0.1 Connects fine but it locks up after 30 seconds or so and quits displaying.

Hi,
I just published a new version (2.0.1) that should fix the password problem (I forgot to remove an hard coded password I used for the tests).
Can you see now if it is working better ? (the new version is online at http://flashlight-vnc.sourceforge.net/demo.html)

Ok, the password problem is fixed in the new version : 2.0.1
I tried the online version (http://flashlight-vnc.sourceforge.net/demo.html) against a TightVNC server 1.3.10 running on Windows 7 and everything was working fine (in tight encoding).
Can you try again the online version to see if it works now for you ? The other problems you encountered could be more due to compilation...
