Middleware installer? No thanks! FileZilla is a great program ... now opt out of the silly monetization platform, please.

Why are you using a crappy installer ??? Why this ??? By the way, thank you for the guy that posted the userscript to get the real download URL, bypassing this crapware... !!!

FileZilla itself used to be a great tool, but the developers made a descision I cannot support. Their installer is by ask.com, producer of a useless, hardly uninstallable Toolbar that hacks into your browser and destroys your settings. Many people consider it as harmful like a virus, and indeed you can only remove it when you know what you do. So: BEWARE OF THE ADWARE IN THE INSTALLER! I cannot trust FileZilla anymore, and I will not update until they refrain from adding garbage to their installer.

After years of use the addition of adware and closed source installers means I will not touch this software and don't trust it. Filezilla and Sourceforge no longer exist for me. The arrogance of the decision to do this boggles the mind.

Here is a user-script to bypass crap-ware on SF.net ; userscripts.org/scripts/show/174951 FileZilla developers shouldn't have participated in this revenue-sharing (DevShare) program

Nice software but security is very poor. *Negative - Simple TXT Saved Passwords (unSecure Method).

I strongly recommend everyone who is concerned about his security to add the following line to your hosts file: apnpartners.com 127.0.0.1 I just uninstalled the programm because I won't support such evil people.

Too bad SF is going the malware adcrap way. Too bad that Filezilla Authour supports that instead of trying to make money the fair way. 5 Stars for the app - zero for the ad shit.

Malware installes with Filezilla in Windows. Use filezilla-project.org for a clean installer.

Why this closed source malware installer? I just need to warn everyone NOT to use sourceforge anymore, they have turned to evil! I really need to move away from sourceforge with my own project. Worse enough that sourceforge has such a possibility now, but WHY did you accept this installer guys ?

What a great idea, pack your favourite OS software with a drive-by-crapware/adware/spyware-installer.... Great way to kill such a great project.

I love the features that FileZilla provides, but I would urge the developers to move away from SourceForge's new bloated installers model. I don't like bloated installers, and while I understand their purpose, users should be offered a choice rather than forced into the bloated download.

Awesome project. Easy and stable with good support. Could use be better with support for password enabled SSH keys. Shame about the new spyware downloader (8/24/2013)

Why is Sourceforge trying to download a spyware installer on my system - Any links with the NSA?? Had to download it from - https \\ filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1 - Care required when downloading from SF - shame when a good service cannot be trusted Richard

There is no way in hell I am going to download a crapware installer to install open source software. Free as in freedom was invented for a reason and I just want to download the regular installer without spyware and adware crap being installed. SF basically destroyed the FileZilla project in hopes to line their pockets and gold stud their toilets.
