FileCount 2.0 is released. This program will count files and directories in a directory structure according to their file extension. It can be very useful if you need to create a manifest of what files are in a directory structure so you can analyze what to do with them. FileCount recognizes over 500 file extensions and gives a description of each one it recognizes. FileCount 2.0 produces both a CSV and an HTML version of the report. The format is selectable by the user. There is a bat file provided to aid in getting the program started. Both the bat file and the FileCount program have help text that can be displayed on the console for the user. Visit http://www.wilandra.com/~filecount for more information.
