I am working on switching from using arrays and a flat file for user.db and the drectory structure to an SQL database. During heavy usage there are a number of errors when file-butler can't find a requested file that does exist or can't find a user that hase a large amount of credit.
The switch to SQL will also allow for descriptions of each file. SQL will also allow for really big file servers. During this update will will fix ctcp requests (currently disabled). The use of SQL will require a drastically updated user interface. The new user interface will break away from xchat. There will still be a File-Butler menu entry in the X-Chat menu bar. There will also be an independent window for updating the database and modifying file descriptions. This release will include nearly a complete rewrite of the code.
I don't currently have a timeline for this version release but the number will be 0.9.x. Once most of the bugs are fixed I will release a 1.0
