This project is very useful for programmers life! It is a stability program without bugs and have an intuitive interface.

You can download Heroes 2 in a format that works with fheroes2 from gog.com for less than 10USD. That's the best way to get it I think. I like it that old games, and some new games, are available there. =)

This is an awesome project!! I've been using it for a few years just because the regular HoMM II doesn't run that well under Wine, but then I downloaded the most recent version and noticed something interesting... It adds features! fheroes2 has some really neat, really useful new features that can greatly enhance your Heroes experience. The AI needs a bit of work, but all in all it's a great project. I've always wanted to get into free software hacking, and I think I'll look at this project as a start—I have a few features of my own in mind. Keep up the awesome job guys. If there was a gold medal for best free software project, you should definitely win it.

This is a pleasing project for lovers of the legendary game HOMM II. However it is unknown to many of them. I think its website lacks basic information. Please add some more information about the project. What is it exactly about? What will be its differences from the original game? What are its short/long term goals? What has been done so far? What are you currently working on? Is there a road map? How can you be supported? etc...
