Firefox Preloader is a utility that is designed to load parts of Mozilla Firefox into memory before it is used to improve the its startup time.
I run Firefox with "MOZ_NO_REMOTE" user environment variable (this is same as using "-no-remote" switch) so that each profile/instance runs in its own process, and it's great to use it that way in cooperation with Firefox Preloader!!
This did help me, and it is a keeper. It did improve loading times a bit. Firefox took a rather short time to start anyhows, but I wanted it to start instantly, and now it almost does. The one minor thing I would ask developers, if my voice will be heard, is to make a checkbox in the Preloader Options for not showing the taskbar icon. My taskbar is very aglomerated with stuff, and the "hide inactive icons" is not really ok. I do not really want to see another useless icon there, just to know I have the preloader. I would persoanlly remove it altogether ,but if others do not agree, then such a setting would be very welcome. Lots of aplications have it.
Works as beautifully, FF:s startup time is now only a fraction of what it used to be.
