Iam not interrested in -pedantic support and you are deeply confused
ISO C++ has no relation to any of this at all ffmpeg is C not C++.
Besides, this Sourceforge bug&feature tracker here has been abandoned many years ago. see http://www.ffmpeg.org/bugreports.html.

and theora is likely not patent free.
