Program compiled OK (had to install flex to make it), but wasn't so intuitive to use, and more importantly the one picture I needed did not recover properly, 80% of it was corrupted even though I had not used camera since delete operation. PhotoRec was easier to use, and got back the full image. So I have to give my vote to PhotoRec.

Compiled nicely. Interactive mode crashed on first "ls" on my 64 bit system. Automatic mode did NOT recover any of the deleted files i was looking for. The "photorec" tool from the "testdisk" suite did the job an recovered all my files, so I cant give this tool a thumbs up.

As Fionn said: It found a few files -but not those I were looking for (the /DCIM/100ANDRO directory that had been overwritten on a phone. Photorec (another free program) found all the files I looked for - and a lot more. No reason to use fatback.
