Yes, you can use Word but it comes out looking ugly. TeX is the ultimate mathematical text setting software. If you care about how the result looks like or if you want to publish this is the standard. If you want to type a homework or type some secretarial document then Word is ok and TeX will be an over kill.
it's good app for writing persian Articles and thesises.
really obsolete, and awfully difficult to configure and use, nowadays every one can type mathematical formulas and technical documents just by ms-word or openoffice. belive me dont use this crazy app. instead use ms-word or openoffice for persian typesetting.
