Several bugs were fixed in the way mirroring works.
A minor bug was fixed in shadowlink for using mirror directories (superficial for the most part), and a moderate (but rare) bug was fixed in ws-restore that did not correctly restore symlinks (also removed requirement for the mirror to not cross mount points). I also added a script to disconnect the system when shutting down your computer.
I've added the ability to mirror individual files as well as files with spaces in their name. I'll try to work on supporting file names with all characters in their names later on. I cleaned up the mirroring quite a bit by making the restore map more explicit as well as making restoration much safer; nothing is deleted that isn't an empty folder or a symlink to a mirror.
It's been over a year since my last release of 'extport'. I've since stopped using it myself, also. The purpose of creating this project was to see if I could successfully externalize the major portions of a Linux system so that the same setup could be used on multiple computers. I've found this to be bulky and infeasible, however I've been successfully using a set of scripts for a while which automatically manage encrypted volumes, which inspired me to revise this project as a Linux scripting project. I present to you "ta0kira's Linux Script Project"! The first two script projects I've added are the 'fastdm' and 'key-scripts' projects. 'fastdm' is a simple script intended to avoid the overhead of 'cryptsetup.sh'. It doesn't have all of the fancy functionality 'cryptsetup.sh' has; it's intended for dealing with whole file systems, whether on devices or images. The 'key-scripts' set of scripts provides simple command line management of encrypted volumes. The scripts provide key table management (keys stored on file system images), allow file system and key table creation, and also allow for converting existing file systems. Thanks for taking a renewed interest in this long-dormant project! Kevin P. Barry
