The main goal of the ext3Viewer project is to give the user the possibility to explore the ext3 filesystem at a low-level. ext3viewer lets you study all the ext3 structures, and prints them in a more user-friendly form.

This release fixes some headers importation errors. ( tested on ubuntu 7, suse 10.1, previous release was tested on slackware 11, gentoo 2006.1, suse ... ) It was "complaining" about missing declaration of little endian and big endian conversion functions.

ext3Viewer is a tool, aimed at making the understanding of the ext3 filesystem easier. This is the first version ever released to the public. The project has been known to work under several distros (Slackware 10.1 and 11.0 , SuSe 10.1, Gentoo 2006.1), on x86 architectures. Please let us know whether or not it has worked for you, with the maximum number of details (distribution, installed libraries, processor architecture, etc.) Developer and user documentations were written in French, but might be translated into english, should we be given the proper motivation to do so.
