  • I hate to diss a free package, but this just doesn't work at all. First, it complains about not being able to find its favorite programs. (1) so install them along with yours. (b) when you try to locate the files, it has set the search parameters in such a way (that you can't change) that it is unable to see the program (e.g. it wants mgs.exe for ghostscript but it searches for gs.exe). Small problem. Just type the file name when you are in the correct folder and it works. Much bigger problem: trying to do ANYTHING AT ALL results in the error message "Command Failed to Run." If this were a physical object, it would be a paperweight.

  • EqualX does it's job, and a bit more, and it does it quite well. It's the best (LaTeX-based) equation editor I tried so far and I doubt that I'll find any (free) software better than this. Good job!

  • Easy to use and with SVG support, I just need to drag and drop from EqualX to Writer to get a perfect equation on any document. Five stars on everything!

  • I use this to take math notes(after I hacked and add a clipboard button). The png files that pops out actually have latex embedded to it. Love it!!
