This software CHEATS on users. One of the main features of eMule (which is a complete nonsense nowadays, but let's put that aside for a while) is the queue rate calculation, which is calculated among other things by using the upload/download ratio (how much one upload compared to how much one download) in order to grant better queue positions for those who share the most and worse queue positions for those who "leech" from the network. One can observe that eMule calculates two ratios: One for the current session and another one for the accumulated use, and one can observe too that the second ratio (which is the one used to calculate and grant/take queue points) diminishes even if during the session the upload/download ratio is greater than one; and that's while leaving aside the fact that one can have downloads in the queue for months or even YEARS without completing. In my case I've uploaded more than 580 GB of data while downloading less than 36 GB of data over less than a 2-year period; How can be justified that one has to wait years, upload 16 times what one download and still have downloads waiting in the queue? Other applications doesn't come with that nonsense rule of "gain brownie points in order to fully use it" which is circumvented by lots of cheaters and leechers who just prop up their mods in detriment of other users. To me, all the mentioned are annoying if not huge flaws of design in eMule and other mods who promise you faster speeds, better credit granting among other nonsenses.
