    One of my goals for this project is to allow it to be compiled on SDL for greater portability.

    Currently it uses Allegro, which in itself is highly portable, but SDL is even more so. Since Allegro calls are sprinkled throughout, I'm considering writing a wrapper that translates Allegro calls to their SDL equivalents.

    Of course, if anyone wants to take on this project, I'd be glad for the help!
