Eclipse 3.3 introduces Save Actions, actions that are automatically executed when a file is saved, therefore the plugin is no longer needed.
You can configure them under Window -> Preferences, Java -> Editor -> Save Editors.

I had used this plugin with the previous Eclipse version and it worked perfectly. I upgraded to Eclipse 3.3.1.1 and the icons disappeared.
Thanks.
