  • Followup: RE: request for efax upgrade for memory fax modem

    This is quite modem specific - I don't think there is any general Hayes protocol for obtaining faxes from modem memory. Therefore, I don't think there is much chance of efax-gtk supporting it, since efax-gtk is not intended to be aimed only at particular modem brands. However, thanks for the suggestion. Is there any reason why you don't just use the golix software provided by Olitex?...

    I have little idea what your problem is, I am afraid. As you have tried different efax-gtk packages from different distributions then it is unlikely to be a packager making incorrect changes to the source code. Possibly your modem is not correctly set up for your country's telecoms standards - different countries have different dial tones for example.

    One more information about my problem: modem can receive , but can not send fax.
