  • Followup: RE: nullpointer exception

Hi, I am not sure of the technique used in CCRC ( I know there is a plug-in) but the plug-in we are providing is built on using clearcase native client. Is not CCRC payware? If you are using clearcase it would not be a problem to get your hands on a copy of native client. br, //mike.

I have such problem. Eclipse 3.5.1, plugin 2.1.7, CC Remote Client 7.1.0.0. Why CC native client is nessesary and CC Remote Client isn't enough? Thanks.

  • Problem with ClearCase symbols in Package Explorer

The symbols that represents the clearcase states (checkin, checkout, sync.....) Do not show in the package explorer. Although, eclipse knows about the state of the files and I can checkin and checkout correctly. A workaround for this problem is to open Clear Case Explorer and do a checkin or checkout in the explorer program, then the clearcase symbols shows up in eclipse.

  • Comment: 2.1.7: Does not work with JRE 1.5

Actually, as I needed it urgently, I compiled the 2.1.7 version with Java 1.5. You can download the jar files at http://stashbox.org/737619/eclipseclearcase2.1.7_jre1.5.zip Simply replace the three jars that come with the official 2.1.7 release with the ones in this zip. It's all generated from the 2.1.7 label in CVS, so it is functionally equivalent to the official 2.1.7 release.

Hi, Sorry for the inconvenience. Next release of the plug-in will be a total makeover. It will be compiled with 1.5 and not 6 since it is not necessary. Since I am alone maintaining the project I expect the release to be done sometime after X-mas. br, //mikael.

  • 2.1.7: Does not work with JRE 1.5

2.1.7 is compiled for JRE 1.6, but a lot of users, especially in large companies, are still bound to 1.5 Is it possible to compile for JRE 1.5 and provide that package, please? see https://sourceforge.net/projects/eclipse-ccase/forums/forum/167189/topic/3399972/index/page/1.

khalitsyn, I just ran into the same problem! We are bound to JRE 1.5, and we would urgently need a version of the ClearCase plugin that runs with 1.5. Any help from the devs?.
