Hi,
I've been using EasyTag on XP and it works very well, thanks, however I've now switched to a new laptop using Win 7 64 bit and I am getting the same error message as above, I tried with GTK+ 2.16.6 and after this did not work uninstalled it and tried our friend's solution of GTK+ 2.14.4 but no dice here either, I see there is a GTK+ 64 bit beta version but it's for developers and well...

This appears to occur for all tag types, as I just noticed it for ALBUM as well. Any clue as to what is causing it?.

Thanks for posting this patch! With this, it is possible to use easytag to fix up a music library, import it into iTunes, and not have to worry about each album showing up more than once. It makes easytag a much more complete and genuinely useful tool, regardless of whether the Album Artist tag is non-standard or unsanctioned.

How does one apply the patch? Specifically if you are using Ubuntu....?.

This bug doesn't only happen with an USB drive but everywhere.
Here is what I did :
Directory A > Directory B > Directory C > Directory D
We load Directory D in EasyTag. We delete Directory B so ( Directory B > Directory C > Directory D) doesn't exist anymore.
We can still see all the directories in EasyTag, this is normal because we haven't "refresh" Easytag.
We load Directory C and an error...

Easytag 2.1.4. Load directory on a USB drive. Unmount the USB drive then click a directory to load it. Easytag will always crash. Attached is a Bug Buddy crash report.

It would be nice to have possibility to choose a charset that is used in database. Most Russian tags in databases are stored in cp-1251, but under Linux they are displayed as they are in KOI-8.

Under Windows folder names in browser are displayed wrong. In my case (Russian interface) KOI-8 charset is used instead of cp-1251 (default Russian Windows charset).

When saving a FLAC file, the modification time is not updated (which means it is "preserved"). This happens always and independently from the corresponding configuration setting.
