when I try to open the program:
freeglut ERROR: Function called without first calling 'glutInit'.
I'm using a Gentoo Linux with all package at the last stable version on a 64bit system.

This is the very first release with skinning support. The configuration file is located in the ~/.3dfb folder. Everything in there is self explanatory.
