DreamWeaver MX has no autosave function. This tool implements it by 'clicking' on the Save, or Save All menu items for you (at a regular interval). It is a stand-alone program, not a DreamWeaver MX plugin.

Change Log ---------- Changes [1.3.0.12 -> 1.3.0.13]: - Squashed an aesthetic bug, if you pressed H to hide the window the menu didnt change to say "Show DWAutosaver", it does now - Another bugfix: logical error in the program meant that DW version 6 would never do a Save All; no matter what you chose it would do a Save Current. Changes [1.3.0.11 -> 1.3.0.12]: - Fixed it so the Delete and BackSpace keys work in the time entry field.. The functionality had dropped out somewhere along the line.. Changes [1.3.0.5 -> 1.3.0.11]: - Those baskets at MacaroniMedia changed the menu structures with their new 7.0.1 update, throwing DWAutSav off again. Added new menu IDs to cater for the changes, and improved some error-case handling. Now, the only way to reliably detect the version is via the file, so for DWAutSav's AutoDetect function to work, it must be in the same directory as Dreamweaver.exe; The user is warned of this upon first load, and attempting to use the program in auto-detect mode, with an undetectable auto version will cause the tray icon to go red - Minor improvements to some aesthetics/menus and some small operational sensibilities were introduced (e.g. claculating the save mode if the user changes the version via menu) Changes [1.3.0.4 -> 1.3.0.5]: - Pop DW To Front will offer to start DreamWeaver if it is not running, unless it is impossible (DWAutSav.exe and DreamWeaver.exe in different directories) in which case, the user is advised to enable/cycle the state of the "Auto-Launch DreamWeaver" menu option, on the settings menu. Changes [1.3.0.3 -> 1.3.0.4]: - Finally squashed that aggravating problem of the menu not going away if you didnt click on it. Seems I had already implemented half of the solution, namely.. it didnt happen if the main window was showing. I took a close look at how other programs did it, and realised that they always set the program to the front upon right click. I had originally coded DWAutSav so that if the main window was hidden, then it wouldnt take the focus away from your current program.. But then Windows never told the popup menu to disappear :) Now, right clicking always steals the focus (just like the other tray icons do) so the menu goes away reliably. Hurrah etc etc. Changes [1.3.0.2 -> 1.3.0.3]: - Settings menu item "Launch Dreamweaver" renamed to "Auto-Launch Dreamweaver" to clear up user confusion (suggested: infinity/feal/org) Changes [1.3.0.1 -> 1.3.0.2]: - On the settings menu, if user activates "Launch Dreamweaver", DWAutSav checks if it can do it. If it can, it checks to see if Dreamweaver is running. If DW is not running, the user is asked if it should be started there and then. - On the menu, the text that once read "Show/Hide main window" now reads: "Show main window" if the window is hidden,"Hide main window" if it's showing Changes [1.2.0.17 -> 1.3.0.1]: Oh, where to start? - Support for Dreamweaver MX 2004 (v7.0) added (requested: infinity/feal/org) - Planned support to auto-run Dreamweaver added (requested: infinity/feal/org) - Improved textbox commands; the timer field accepts only numbers, q, h or ? - Timer no longer complains of bad numbers - Support to autodetect which version of Dreamweaver you use - Moved settings to their own menu, added selectable versions (auto, 6 or 7) - Enabling "launch Dreamweaver" checks to see if it is possible - Tray icon goes blue for a second indicating a save is in progress - "Pop DW to Front" will now restore Dreamweaver if it is minimised - Renamed some menu functions to make it more obvious what clicking on them did - Swapped the bar-graph for a numerical countdown timer - Improved the visible-but-offscreen logic; If less than 20 pixels of the window are visible,DWAutSav will ask you if you want to move it to the screen centre - Improved the rubrik of showing and hiding the main window. If the window is visible somewhere, but buried, right clicking the tray icon will raise it to the top. This seems to cure the persistent-popup-menu issue too, but only while the window is showing. :/ Changes 0.0.0 -> 1.2.17 - First public release. Previous versions were hardcoded everything, tailored to DW 6
