desktop-contacts makes your evolution contacts usable from the nautilus file manager. You can browse your friends, send email direct to them, call or send SMS messages just by clicking on a person in nautilus.

Vcards daemon released
The first release of the vcards daemon is out. With this release, the split of the original dt-contacts into a plugin and a daemon package is completed. The daemon makes the contacts in a gnome address book available as a directory with vcards. The point is that since vcards are are ordinary files, they can be handled in the usual way: attached, listed in recent documents, stored along other documents in the file system. Using the plugin it's also possible to directly place a call, send email or take a note about the vcard user. This is still a pre-alpha release.
